These terms are an agreement between you and 1001 Toolbox (Ehtesham Ali, “we”) for using 1001toolbox.com and the tools in the 1001 Toolbox. Each tool also has its own terms for how that tool works. If they differ, the tool's terms win for that tool. By using the site or a tool, you accept these terms.
1. The service
The 1001 Toolbox is a set of web apps for business work. These are the tools that are live now:
- Payloom, payroll (its terms)
- Keystone, property management (its terms)
- Porchlight, live chat (its terms)
Tools listed “on the workbench” aren't available yet. We may change what they do or not ship them at all.
2. Accounts
You need an account to use a tool. Give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens under it. If you sign up for a business, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for it.
3. Acceptable use
Don't use the toolbox to:
- break the law, or store data you have no right to hold;
- send spam, malware or anything that harms other people;
- probe, overload or get around the security or limits of the service;
- copy, resell or rebuild the service without our written permission.
We may suspend accounts that do, and we'll tell you why unless the law stops us.
4. Your data
The records you put into a tool are yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to run the tool for you. You can export them while your account is open. When you close an account, we delete its data as each tool's privacy policy describes. Read our privacy policy to see how we handle personal data.
5. Plans and payment
Every tool has a free plan. Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly, in advance, and renew automatically until you cancel. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel in each tool's billing page. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle charges your card, collects any sales tax or VAT, and issues your invoices. Its buyer terms apply to the purchase.
We may change prices. We'll email you at least 30 days before a change affects a plan you're paying for. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep every tool running, but we don't promise it will never be down. We may improve, change or retire features. If we retire a tool you pay for, we'll give you at least 60 days' notice and time to export your data, and refund any unused prepaid time.
7. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the toolbox and close your account at any time. We can end or suspend your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If we end it without cause, we refund any unused prepaid time.
8. No warranty
The tools help with calculations like tax, payroll and rent, but you remain responsible for checking the results and for your own filings and obligations. The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. If you're a consumer, you keep any protections the law of your own country gives you.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and email account holders about any change that matters at least 30 days before it applies.
